The Tower and the Telescope

Unhinged puppetry for adults and ages 13+

Touring from March 2026 (dates to be announced)

On a craggy cliff-top (insert windy sound effects here) a part-time astronomer scans the universe, desperately seeking an answer to... everything? Down below, a ramshackle cook is involved in a life or death struggle with the salad of the damned. There’s also the tawdry bread van-driver… who is hopelessly in love with the cook.

This is a surreal, disjointed, clanking puppet world where everyone and everything feels irretrievably lost. But it’s all ok. Something is watching over them. Something huge and warm and fuzzy, almost like happiness… except with massive bone crushing arms.

The Tower and the Telescope takes an absurd, sideways look at life and love through a cracked greasy lens. The show is stuffed with darkly relatable puppets, wonky machines and cringey dingy surprises.

It's the sort of show you might like if you are a fan of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared or even The Sky at Night.  Maybe not that last one.

The Tower and the Telescope is perfect for anyone over the age of 13 who needs their theatre to be funny ha ha and funny distinctly unpleasant.
