The Tower and the Telescope
unhinged puppetry for adults and ages 13+
On-tour from May 2026 (dates to be announced)

On a craggy cliff-top (insert windy sound effects here) a part-time astronomer scans the universe, desperately seeking answers to the ineffable questions of life. Next door a ramshackle cook is caught up in a life or death struggle with the sandwich filling of the damned. And speeding round the bend is the tawdry-bread delivery driver… who is hopelessly in love with the cook.
It’s a hand-cranked, clanking puppet world where everyone and everything feels irretrievably lost. But it’s all ok because something is watching over them. Something huge and warm and fuzzy almost like happiness… except with massive bone crushing arms.

The Tower and the Telescope takes an absurd, sideways look at life and love through a cracked, greasy lens. The show is stuffed with darkly relatable puppets, wonky machines and hilariously dingy surprises. It’s suitable for people aged 13+ who like their theatre 'funny ha ha' and ‘funny distinctly unpleasant’.
